Melody is a first generation American born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago.  Her first language was Farsi and at the age 3 was able to understand the dirty jokes her Iranian parents and their friends were sharing at dinner parties.  And thus began Melody’s love of comedy and her obsession with role playing Janet from Three’s Company.

Growing up with Iranian Jewish parents, Melody took the responsible route and went to the University of Wisconsin – Madison for her undergraduate degree in political science.  It was while living in Wisconsin she learned to love cheap beer.  After college, she spent time living in Israel where she learned her love of Israeli men and falafel.  Once her feet landed back in Chicago, she went to law school to pursue her dream at the time of being a prosecutor.  While she did graduate from law school, the dream of being a hot shot prosecutor like Helen Gamble from The Practice quickly faded away.

After practicing social security disability law for 4 years, Melody made the transition from the legal world to the not for profit world.  Melody moved to New York City to shake things up in her life and push herself outside of her comfort zone.  That included her first stint with improv classes which ignited a new found passion with performing comedy.  Melody is currently writing, producing and performing in a comedic webseries to debut later this year. She plays around town with her improv skills and rather than go to therapy she does stand up.

She is willing to play Janet whenever they decide to revive Three’s Company.
